Writers Ramble

We all love to be appreciated, but when one of your children tells you (as an adult rather than as a child) it brings a tear.

As parents we are called upon to perfom just about every task imaginable - most were not in the book! Often we can feel taken for granted giving a silent sigh at another dilemma resolved. Regardless of how your children behave, (we all have our proud and our cringing moments) there will always be at least one time when you have to forget yourself, the other offspring and your partner to ensure the troubled one gets what they need. As I sit here having just received a text:- I just want 2 say thank you for being u I love u so much X I am left with a both a smile and a tear reminded of the clip in one of my favourite films.

For whatever has happened, no matter how bad it seems a cup of tea with mum makes it feel ok.
