Writers Ramble

They say there is a book in all of us, but so many of us never put pen to paper as it were. For me, the initial idea and eventual birth of Sexual Favours came from a seemingly everyday conversation over coffee with a friend much the same as in Chapter 1.

The thought of women’s approach to sex not only today but over the past 10/20 years started the grains of each chapter. As I spoke to my mother and eldest daughter I began to realise that while we had all encountered very different experiences possibly in the main due to our ages, our basic sex lives had been the same. There had been times when we had been obliging as it were, times when we had dreamt of more and the times we shall never forget. I thought of how men tend to rule the sex lives of couples simply because most women never ask for sex as their partners do and it became obvious why women fantasize. I began to question why men watch porn and women generally don’t unless with their partners and decided that in the pages of Sexual Favours I could offer women a variety of risqué scenarios, encounters that just may help them understand their true desires – I could give them porn on paper.
